Hello and welcome to another episode of What If It All Goes Right. I'm Angela Gargano, six time American Ninja Warrior, three time cover girl and Miss Fitness America 2016. And this podcast is all about sharing my journey, lessons and tools to help you live your life by design and not the fault. So this is gonna be another candid episode. A lot of times I'll sit down and I'll write out a bunch of notes and get really specific exactly what I wanna say, but I had to come on here because
there has been some incredible proof as to what I've been doing lately that has just things manifesting out of thin air. And I had to come on here and do this in real time because I want to create this episode so that you can feel the feelings that I'm feeling and see that you can literally have this happen for you as well. So let's talk about exactly what I'm talking about.
Lately, I've been in a weird headspace. I'm in this moment where I'm in between retiring from American Ninja Warrior and really trying to figure out maybe what that next thing is. And I was really having a hard time becoming clear on what it was. Typically, it's always been an athletic goal, always had an athletic goal. It's always been from college gymnastics, then into fitness competitions, then into American Ninja Warrior. But now there's no athletic goal.
that I really have. So what's next? It's like weird in between of knowing like, OK, cool. Well, how can I get excited about, right? And really embracing this in between moments. So what I've had a really difficult time on is gaining clarity, right? Because all these different things that I've been doing before, the Ninja Warrior, stuff like that, they have deadlines. I know exactly. And I'm very clear on what it is that I'm trying to achieve. I can see it. But I'm
For the longest time right now, I haven't really been able to see clearly what exactly it is that I'm desiring to get. So I'm trying to figure that out. And it's true that you're not always gonna know exactly what that is or be super clear, or you might have an idea of what you think it is and it changes later on.
what I have noticed for myself is a huge block is this next phase in my life, I want to go all in on my keynote speaking because that is where my energy lies. It's where I feel so inspired, so alive. I love being on those stages. I love.
being able to share my message and the wisdom that I have gotten from doing all these insane things in my life, like opening the gym, like being an American Ninja Warrior. And I know that now the next piece of this phase is to share more of that and it's to help inspire others. So even if I don't have my own physical goal for working out, the next piece here is to help others. So like I said, I'm gonna share some stuff that I've been doing this past week and how it's really given me chills.
to see the results of what you can do and what was possible at manifesting and why sometimes you might feel like you're trying to manifest something and you can't, you're like not, it's taking a very long time and you're kind of getting like frustrated, like why is this taking so long?
Okay, so for me, my next phase of my life, I want to grow my pull-up revolution business. I want to continue to help as many women as I possibly can get their pull-up, feel more empowered and independent in their body, and really help create a revolution and a movement around, it doesn't always have to be about getting skinnier and thinner. It could be about getting strong and empowered in your body, right? And in order to do that, obviously, with a business, like we need to...
generate sales and get more women into the community. So what I've been struggling with my business is figuring out exactly how that is. Because once women come in and they come to one of my live workshops or trainings, they see exactly what we do and they can see that we can give them that results. But sometimes it's almost like you have to give that little convincing, right? That little push to show you that now we literally do have the step-by-step method and we can literally make this happen. So as a business owner, it can be tough. It's like, how do we
show that, what do we do every single month so that we can have consistent revenue month so that we can have consistent enrollment into our program. So I've tried all the different things, all the things, right? And I'm just trying to figure out and lean on what feels really great for me. And for me, the events, the workshops, that's where I really, really thrive. So I'm like, okay, cool, figure that out this year. So I know that that's something that I really want to really put place my focus on. But what I've also realized is that

I internally know that I have the worth and the knowledge and the wisdom and the skills to just like crush all these things, but something's been holding me back. There's been a huge block, a huge block to really get me from here to here. Like I've been stuck basically at this one level here with the business, with the keynote speaking, everything for this long. And then like, okay, cool. How do I get to this next piece? What is it that I need to do? And what I realize is it's all about
personal development, it's all about believing you're only going to expand in your business and other areas of your life as much as you've literally expanded within yourself. So I've been trying to take a deeper look as to what this block looks like. Where did the block come from? And I know people will go back and say, like, childhood trauma, whatever, but there's been a story going on in the background of my mind over and over again that I had some awareness around, but I never sat down to really look at it. I never really sat down to be like, like, I see this coming up over and over again.
Maybe it's time to shift this because it's the only way you're going to be to get to the next level, right, is if you shift your mindset. Again, with anything, with your pull-up. If you're on here and you've been wanting to get your pull-up, it's the only way you're to do it. If you're trying to start a business, the only way you're going to do it, you need to start internally. That's where your expansion will happen. So again, digging into all these things, I realized that I have this lack mindset, this lack and this scarcity mindset.
So even when revenue or money is coming in, I'm always feeling like, my goodness, I'm never gonna be able to get it again. How am I gonna be able to get more? Like I got it, cool, and I'm not gonna be able to get it. When I don't have it, I'm sitting there just wondering like how I'm gonna get it. So scarcity around money has been very big, but it's also not in money. It's also not feeling enough in other areas. As much as I've been a pro athlete, there's been so many times where I'm mentally just been super down on myself when I sit there and compare myself to the other people that I was surrounded with. So for example,
I remember going for a run with my two close friends who are a ninja and I literally could not keep up with them because their pace was so much faster than mine and then I was just in the back. And I remember just being in the back and just wondering and just beating myself the entire time being like, well, I'm not good enough to be in the front with them. That's where my mindset was. I'm sure they weren't thinking that, but that's what I was thinking the entire time. And I'm seeing this in other areas of my life. I'm seeing this also in my business. I'm seeing myself as that person.
who's always felt like she was behind. Never felt like she could fully catch up to whatever it was. It could be running. It could be financial goals. I always just felt like I wasn't enough.
And that's a big problem, right? Because at the end of the day, you personally, you need to feel like you're enough. It doesn't matter what anyone else thinks. You, internally, need to feel like you're worth it and you need to feel like you are enough. And I'm seeing again this come up. It's almost like I create it in any kind of scenario in my life,
I feel like I've created that sense of lack, that sense of scarcity, that sense of not being enough. And then the other day I was, yesterday actually, I'm running over recording this, was on the boat with my friends for this holiday thing. And I'm just looking at all of them, starting to compare myself to not feeling enough because now they all have husbands. They all have their businesses and stuff like that. I feel like figured out, like maybe not fully figured out, but I'm looking at all of them and again, feeling very behind. And I got really sad when I got home. I literally just like cried my eyes out.
And I was just like, wow, I'm like, I'm not there. I'm not enough. Like I'm never gonna, how am I ever gonna have those things that they have, right? But again, it all goes back to feeling like we are enough because if they can have it, there was enough to go around for everybody. If they can have it, you can have it too. So what's the block? And for me, again, really, really getting clear on what has been holding me back to get to those next levels, to have those different things with money with.
life with relationships, all that stuff. And it really, again, it comes back to here. So here's some things that I've been doing this week because I recognize that. And this time I recognize it and I'm like, you know what, I'm gonna dig into it. I'm going to lean in to this moment and really lean into what's actually feeling comfortable, right? Because comfortable to me right now is constantly putting myself down and not feeling like I'm enough no matter what I succeed at, right?
You would think at this point where I'm like, Angela, you have all these titles, you've done all these things, you should feel like enough, but mm-mm. Right? I'm always like kind of putting that down, right? So, okay, cool. Let's lean in to what I keep going back to as my comfort zone, which is all these scarcity, lack, negative thoughts, not feeling like enough. And let's challenge it. Let's challenge it and see what else we can do and how we can really actually like flip the script. Not just say we're flipping the script, but like actually flip the script.
so what I've been doing is the past week, so I went to a big event last week where I was in the room with some really top people for speaking, and just in general, leadership, development, all sorts of stuff.
And I absolutely did fit in that room. I absolutely did. Right. And I'm like, cool. How can I keep this feeling and show up as this higher version of myself and internally feel like I belong here? Right. So I started doing a couple of different things. Number one was I started doing this manifestation meditation and it's particularly talking about having that abundance already.
It's for 10 minutes and I've been listening to it every day. And then I sit there after the 10 minutes and I sit in stillness. And what one of my, so she's actually on my team now, but she did my pull up revolution program. She's also one of our coaches. I want to read what she said because she's, she's a yogi and she has given so much wisdom this past couple of weeks that I'm just like, I'm so obsessed with her. I'm so lucky and grateful that I have her here, but she basically sat in here and just wanted to see if I can find specifically what she said, but
Here we go. She said, I feel your light around everything. Everything comes from the stillness. Life shows us the path when we connect there. You see it now. When you start with an external idea outside the self and stillness, then everything is hard work. When it comes from inside you, just follow the clues life gives you and it's so much more fun. Everything comes from the stillness.
So intentionally sitting in stillness every single day.
is really slowly having me come into understanding exactly what is inside of me that I want to manifest and realizing that I'm worth it.
So I want to ask you right now if there's something that you're trying to manifest, are you just constantly going on going and pushing and pushing and making it seem like hard work? Are you taking a moment to sit in stillness?
with something like doing or something like just doing some breath work. So I've been doing the meditation every single day. And then there's another thing that I've been following. It's called EFT tapping. And I don't want to like butcher exactly what EFT tapping is. And again, I should have probably put a bunch of research in before, but basically you tap these different points are on your body. And as you're tapping, you go through any of the limiting beliefs that you have around money or abundance.
And then as you go throughout the different tapping situations, which let me know, we can totally do like a whole podcast on it and walk through that for yourself, whether it be for again, your pull ups, your mindset, your business, whatever it might be. And I've been tapping the different points and switching that, like starting exactly with where I'm at with my mindset and reminding myself as you tap the different points on your body that you deeply and fully accept yourself. So you accept yourself for having those thoughts, right? Because sometimes again, I'm getting mad at myself. like,
Like, why do I always have these thoughts like I'm hot enough? This is so freaking annoying. This is so frustrating. Why does that keep happening? But it's like, accept yourself for having those thoughts. Those thoughts are normal, right? And now how can we shift them? So not beating yourself so much for having those thoughts, realizing that feelings are valid. It's okay if you're having those feelings. How can we shift them into be something else? That's something that's super, super important. So I've been doing the EFT tapping every single day and...
Lately this past two weeks, I've been extremely anxious where I'm literally getting so anxious by like the middle of the day So I would stop and instead of like shutting down for me. my mode is to go to freeze I said, okay, hold on sit down I'm just gonna do this EFT tap and I'm gonna get myself back to being centered So I've been doing the EFT tapping which been really great. I've also been leaning into other things right instead of Just working working working working working which I feel like is gonna get me to my goals I'm always like if I just work more it's gonna be
I'm going to get more. That's not the case at all, actually. I've been working out and things along those lines. I've been making sure I'm getting my movement in. I've been going into stillness. I've been getting more clear.
I'm gonna say that again, I'm getting more clear. By doing all these things, I'm getting more clear on what I actually want.
And clarity is a huge piece of why, and again, I'm gonna tell you what had happened this week that's been really insane. I've been getting more clear on what I want, who I wanna be surrounded by, what I like doing. I mean, keeping note of my energy levels for everything that I'm doing and being like, I hate this. I love this. This lights me up. So this way can do more of the things that actually light me up so that it can bring me closer to the goals that I have and what I actually want to achieve. Last year.
I had made my vision board, I was coming from a place of healing. And I just feel like I threw it all together and I wasn't really feeling it. Like you ever do that, you like create something and you're like, I'm not really like feeling it. This year, I feel like there's so much intentionality and clarity around what I'm putting on this vision board.
And that's how I know everything is gonna actually come to fruition. It's gonna come true because of that clarity. So.
listen to what happened, what's been happening this week, right? So since I've been doing this, I've been doing this now for seven days. And I want to be clear, most of the time when I've been doing a lot of manifesting type work or meditation type work for years, I typically, it's not an instant gratification thing, just like business is not instant gratification, it's like the long haul. And within just seven days, I got some instant gratification.
And I can't even like believe it. Like it's stuff that I'm just like, what the actual F is happening. So the first thing was yesterday I woke up, I opened my door and there's a box of cookies from my neighbor who I've never spoken to. And just said, it was just like, here's this amazing box of cookies just for you. And I already was like, wow, that's like really unexpected. And like literally felt like it was kind of out of nowhere. Awesome, that's super sweet. Then.
Yesterday after I got my workout in and I was going to get gifts for my mom I love going to this place here in South Congress and this is where they have a lot of Austin made items So I like to buy from locals if I can even though it's so much more expensive for some reason so I bought gifts to my two best friends and I bought gifts for my mom and I really try to take the moment to sink in and as I'm like Walking around the store. I keep getting this random call from
and it looked like it was from a casting director and I'm like, okay. And they keep calling me, keep calling me, and I finally just pick up. I'm like, hey, what's up? And they were like, I just wanna let you know, like, we've literally gotten a call back for this amazing opportunity to work with a luxury car company in this massive commercial, like national commercial. I was like, I haven't done anything for modeling a commercial in forever. Like, a couple years ago, I was on a Super Bowl commercial, I've been on a couple commercials, but I kind of gave up because it was just so hard to get.
It's a whole process to do that. So I'm like, what? Like out of nowhere? Like just drop it in like that? I'm like, sweet. Like that's exciting. So that came. And then this morning, I'm going for a of pepper and I'm working on some stuff. And I look in my email and I see a VEMMO of just money. Money in my VEMMO from some random person.
And she said, I just want to let you know from your free workshop that you did and the method you have for pull-up revolution, I got my pull-up and I didn't join your program. She's like, but it doesn't seem fair. So I want to give you something as a gift. What?
Literally out of nowhere money out of nowhere. So I Told my team member about this because I was like listen I'm like I'm like I know that you get it and I want to tell you what happened and this is Insane like this is insane. I have to tell you about this and she said the clearer you become the more instant it becomes because I this is this is too quick I'm like, I've done the law of attraction. I've watched the secret. I've done all the things and like Typically this kind of stuff only comes like a couple years after but she literally said the clearer you become the more instant this stuff becomes
because I've been sitting in stillness, because I've been getting clear on exactly what I want, why I want to manifest more of this money so that I can be more present in my life and impact hundreds of people, right? Because I'm becoming more clear on that, it's just flowing to me. And one of the affirmations I say from meditation and the EFT tapping is that I'm gonna accept money that comes in from random places. I literally say that.
Every day for seven days. What? She said, you're going to laugh, but when I came across you, I knew I was going to work with you and I saw the job come up and I knew the job was mine. I really didn't need a job, but I knew it was where I needed to be and I had no idea why. Sometimes it doesn't make sense, but when you're living in that clarity, the things just come in and that you need and that supports you. The people that need you start coming in as well. A big, happy, beautiful, energetic, supportive family.
And she said, this is wild, she said when she was building the studio that she's building in her backyard, she's like, we didn't have enough money. But both my husband and I felt so light and bright about the whole thing. And we asked each other, we were both all in. And not even a week later, the money came in from an unexpected source.
That's not the first time it's happened with me and it's so clear how we need to live and serve on this earth.
And you see this stuff in, again, if you've ever watched The Secret before, you've seen people be like, I put this picture of this house and now I'm living in it and I didn't even realize on the board. But it's just that clarity, being so clear and trusting that it's gonna come to you. That doesn't mean you obviously, it doesn't mean you're not doing hard work, right? I'm still working hard in everything that I do, but you can work so, so hard, but if you do not have the belief in yourself, if you are not clear on what you want, it is gonna be a long game for you.
So trusting, getting clear on what you really want.
is going to help you get there faster.
That's exactly why in Pull Up Revolution, like the first thing we do is talk about mindset stuff because everyone wants to get the pull up. They'll give me the skills, tell me what to do. Cool, I can give you all the skills and tell you all the things. But if you don't believe that this is possible for you, it's literally not gonna happen. And this lesson goes into every area of your life.
But I had to come on here and share this because like I said, I've been in this weird place. I've been on this emotional rollercoaster. been trying to get super clear on what it is that I want. I've been realizing that I was foggy and maybe not as clear as I wanted to before and I was just kind of throwing things on a board, right? And the more clear I get, the more stillness I take, the more moment I lean into, okay, cool, I'm anxious, that's okay. I'm not gonna get mad at myself for you. I'm gonna sit back. I'm gonna get back into that stillness again to figure out what I do want, to remind myself of my power.
And so much has been coming because of that. So powerful, right? my goodness. Like you get chills. mean the memo request, was like, what? Are you kidding me? So anyways, I wanted to come on here and make this podcast in real time unscripted because I want you to see, I want to show you these things that are going. I want to show you that I've been struggling too, right? A lot of us have been going through these silent struggles that maybe people don't really see or know about.
But when things start to click, I'm like, my goodness, if I can come on and show these moments that click. And I literally sat down to my journal today and I wrote, what did I do differently this week that this started happening? What things felt really good for me? What things didn't feel good for me? What types of things have I been doing so that I can continue to show up like this each week to really manifest that dream life and exactly what I want and have that life that I want and realize that I'm not behind. I'm on time.
All the things my friends have, all the women who are running faster than me, all those things. I'm always just sitting there getting, beating myself up, feeling like I'm not enough. When I'm in fact enough, but I have to realize it myself.
Right? They know it. My friends are great. My friends all know it. Like, I need to know it. Right? I can keep asking them to tell me and give me validation for it, but I need to internally believe it. So anyways, that's the episode today. So action items today is I'd love for you to sit down and continue to sit in stillness and see each day, if you can get a little more clear, what you really want, what you desire, and how that feels. And start to...
Notice the clues. Success is gonna leave clues for you. The right things are gonna leave clues for you. So if something's working, why is it working? If something's not working and it feels annoying, why is it not working? Sit there and really get understanding of that so that you can thrive, because we can all thrive. It's funny, you see those people who are always like, they just have it. Like, you feel like they just have it they have everything and then everything just works and goes well for them.
I'm sure the one thing they have in common is they truly believe in themselves. Right? They believe in themselves. That's exactly what we need here too.
