Ninja Warrior... here I come 🙃😎

Yes…. it’s true!

I got the Call for America Ninja Warrior this year yet again! WOOT!

Last year, I also got called but decided to focus on OTHER things. It was so TOUGH to say NO to something I love. But what I have learned is that it’s okay to say NO because it will open up so many OTHER things in your life.

BUT before I dive more into Ninja Warrior, let me just talk about Austin, Texas freezing over last week! Yes...TEXAS was frozen 🥶

It legit looked like a superhero came in and BLEW cold air all over the city. Trees were frozen and breaking in half and I didn’t have power, wifi or any service for a few days.

It was frustrating, but it was almost as if the universe was saying “Hey Ang, you’ve been working really hard… it’s time for you to take a break”

So last week I was behind on everything... emails, client messages, adulting things. I am still behind 😅

But it is it what it is. I could have fought it, but instead I leaned in and focused on what I could control: resting, which my body really needed because I was feeling sick and burnt out physically and mentally.

Now let's talk about the call to American Ninja Warrior! I decided, why not?! I have been maintaining and just focusing on “moving” each day with no real intention and I definitely feel strong enough to take on the course again. I will competing sometime between March 15-April 5th and it won’t air til July. And YES they gave me that big of a gap timeline wise, but that's showbiz, kid!

However, my goal is not to win it. In the past, my goal was always make it to finals, be a top female etc. Where I am at currently in my life is I just want to be present, enjoy the opportunity and have a TON of fun.

My close friend Matt did that recently with the NYC Marathon. He didn’t run it to PR and be the best. He ran it to just be there and enjoy every single moment of it.

Life DOESN’T always have to be about “winning” or being the best. And I just want to remind you of that. Enjoy the ride. Smile, laugh, “fail”, LIVE

Last thing I want to leave you with is a few pieces of advice I loved from a book called This is How you Heal, a book from the Author of The Mountain is You (linked below!)! And feel free to let me know if ANY of these in particular resonate with you!

  1. Start saying “thank you” for what you want as though is has already happened. Write it down. Say it out loud. Even once is enough.
  2. Just for today, let yourself feel how you feel.
  3. Think back on everything you worried about that turned out to be nothing, and how sometimes, our fears lead us to believe our worst thoughts are most real.
  4. Note what you struggle with the most, within this is a key to what you need to heal
  5. Recognize that whatever bothers you the most about other people can reveal the unconscious truth about yourself -Use these discomforts as opportunities to heal your own invisible wounds
  6. Remember that YOU are mortal. All of this will pass. No time if guaranteed. You are not stuck forever. Life moves quickly and it does not stop. You are only here for a moment. Try to savor it as much as you can

Retreat in Austin,TX

I've had this online community for years and it's been my dream to meet you all in real life! So I am doing a Retreat here in Austin! We already sold the main spots to the retreat but we are opening up 3 more spots to the public! We will be doing things like workouts, breathwork, goal setting, paddle boarding, taking you on the lake to go out on a boat and wake surf (we have an instructor) ice baths, yoga, lots of amazing gifts we put together, and more!
