This week, I caught myself doing something I thought I had grown out of: Comparing myself to other people and shrinking.

I’ve been stepping fully into this new season of keynote speaking—and as I was updating my site, pitching for events, and prepping for an upcoming talk, I made the mistake of scrolling through a bunch of other speaker pages.

And just like that… Self-doubt crept in.

“Do I have enough?”
“Is this page as good as theirs?”
“Am I really ready for this?”

Maybe you’ve felt this too.
Like when you’re about to reach out to a lead and talk yourself out of it. Or you want to launch something new, and suddenly it feels safer to do nothing.

Or even in fitness—when you want to get started, but a little voice whispers, “You’ll probably fail anyway.”

That’s where I was this week. And then my friend Keith gave me the best reminder:

“So what if you swing and miss?”

He’s right. What’s the worst that happens? You send the message and get no reply. You show up and it’s messy. You put yourself out there… and learn something in the process.

We talk ourselves out of so many opportunities because we think we need a guarantee. But the truth is—you don’t get confidence before the leap. You build it during the swing.

So this week, I started swinging again. And you can too.


Embracing Change—At Work and In Life

I had a call this week with an event planner from a manufacturing association I’ll be speaking for soon here in Austin.

Their keynote theme is Embracing Change—a topic that feels so needed right now. Not just in business, but in everyday life.

Because change doesn’t just hit at work. It shows up when relationships shift. When health shifts. When your goals change. It shows up in moments of burnout, identity transitions, an

d even in fitness journeys.

We need more than thick skin at work. We need resilience everywhere.

And the truth is—change doesn’t mean something’s wrong. It means you’re growing.
My goal with these talks is to show people that how they respond to change determines everything.

And I don’t just want to inspire people. I want them to act. That’s why I bring my RIGHT™ Framework into every keynote—to help leaders, individuals, and teams move through the mess with tools that work in real life.

A Moment That Hit Me (at the Gym)

I go to this incredible gym in Austin three days a week, and this week, a guy from my regular class said something that stopped me in my tracks.

He said:

“Sometimes I work out because I want to.
Sometimes I don’t want to, but I show up anyway.
And sometimes—I work out because I need to.”

That hit deep. Because it’s the truth about growth.

Sometimes you won’t feel motivated. Sometimes your thoughts will spiral. But movement brings you back to now.

That’s why I’m so passionate about what we do inside the Pull-Up Revolution. Because it’s not just about fitness—it’s about identity, strength, momentum, and reclaiming your power.

This week, several women got their first pull-up.
And we welcomed new members who are just starting to believe in themselves again.

Actionable Steps: Shift Out of Fear and Into Power

  1. Send the Message.
    Whether it’s a pitch, an application, a follow-up, or a DM—swing. You never know.

  2. Check the Thought.
    Ask: “Is this fear a fact—or just a feeling?” If it’s not true, don’t let it call the shots.

  3. Move Your Body.
    Even 10 minutes. Walk. Lift. Stretch. Get back into the moment.
