This week, let's talk about the epic importance of eating right to fuel your way to pull-up domination and see/feel results in your body! Because I am seeing that A LOT of you ladies are under-fueling, which is not allowing you to see the strength gain you want for your pull-up AND not allowing you to see that tight toned body you are looking for. 🤷🏻♀️
So let's DIVE in!
Proper nutrition plays a key role in your journey to pull-up success. Not fueling your body adequately can hinder your progress and leave you feeling like floppy as a noodle on the bar (and just in general) 😭
Enter protein, the mighty superhero in your nutritional arsenal.
Ladies, protein is your secret weapon for building and repairing those mighty muscles. It's like the construction crew that swoops in, repairs the damage, and builds your strength to superhero levels.
With the right amount of protein, you'll be smashing pull-ups like a boss! And your body will be looking and feeling like a million bucks
Now, here's the scoop on protein intake. While it varies from person to person, a general rule of thumb is to aim for approximately 0.8 -1 grams of protein per kilogram of body weight
Great Protein Sources:
You can also supplement with protein powder to add a little extra, but you do want most of you protein coming from actual food.Supplements are just what they are called... they are NOT a replacement!
You want to aim for HIGH quality meats so that you are getting the MOST from it! If you can get to a local farmers market they always have great quality meats!
While there are other factors that also matter in your food journey like Carbs and Fats, I want to focus on you trying to hit your Protein Goal this week!
And if you are having trouble figuring this out, I personally use My Fitness Pal to Pre-Record my Meals for the week so that I know exactly what I am hitting with ZERO guess work and scrambling! I plan these meals on Sunday. I literally use the same three meal everyday to make it EASY!
What interesting is most people use My Fitness Pal to take out food and eat less, I personally use it to make sure I am actually eating enough. 😅
